ZOE’S STYLE: My style is eclectic, colorful, and mismatched.
INSPIRATION: I used to gather nearly all inspirations from outside sources, like magazines and other style blogs. But I realized recently that most of my outfits are directly inspired by my own artwork. I use my knowledge of color theory and pattern to create collages, drawings, and photographs, which inspire my clothing choices.STYLE ICON: Frida Kahlo. I admire her as a person and as an artist. Her personal style was very colorful and unique. Plus, I love how she almost always wore flowers in her hair!
WHAT ASPECT OF FASHION APPEALS TO YOU THE MOST? I like styling my outfits, arranging the pieces in a cohesive manner. I approach clothing like I would the colors in a painting or the elements of a collage.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WINTERTIME ACTIVITY? Knitting scarves and drinking tea.
STAPLE ITEMS FOR WINTER: I’m quite fond of my red faux-fur coat. I stalked it for months at Macy’s, and I finally bought it when it went on sale. It’s so cozy in the winter, and it makes me feel so fierce. I also love wearing my trusty red cowboy boots when it’s to icy to wear heels. They are the most comfortable shoes I own, and I feel like a true Nashvillian whenever I wear them.NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS: My goals this year are to read more books, visit more museums, meet new people, start an Etsy shop, and learn to play the drums.
